Ava's Angels

I was recently reunited with my sweet, Ava. She is a beautiful white labrador retriever with bright chestnut eyes and quite the spunky attitude.  Her joys in life include long runs, fresh green beans, destroying pillows and of course, lots of love.
After a difficult divorce, I entrusted her safety with someone that I thought I could trust. However, she has recently fallen ill. Before Thursday, 19 February, I had not seen her since January 2014 at a healthy 56 lbs. Sparing the details, she is currently 24 lbs and fighting for her life. I've been by her side every day to give her as much love as my heart can hold. At one point, I lost my composure while holding her, and she proceeded to rub her nose against my chest to try and comfort me. She is showing constant improvement and should be able to come home with me next weekend. 
Her treatment will be rather costly once she is home. Any generous donations would be greatly appreciated, along with prayers and special thoughts. I'll be happy to keep everyone updated on my girl's progress along the way.
