My Mission Training in Australia
Recently I decided that it was time for a big change in my life. After changing my major multiple times during my first three semesters at college, I decided to take some time off and seek God to give me some direction.
After months of diligent prayer, I felt God calling me to get involved with YWAM. YWAM is an organization committed to helping people know Jesus and make Him known. YWAM leads ministries and mission trips across the world, but they are widely known for their Discipleship Training Schools (DTS), which teach students more about God and how to spread His word using the students' individual strengths and talents.
YWAM has hundreds of school bases all over the world, and I spent days researching many of them, praying for God to show me where to go. After a few days, God spoke to me and told me to go to Australia, and here we are!
Starting in October of 2017, I will be attending a DTS through YWAM in Tasmania, Australia! During my time in Australia, I will attend lectures and Bible studies, take part in community outreach, spend time worshiping and praying, have the opportunity to explore God's creation, and so much more! This adventure will enable me to dive deep into God's word in order to learn how to truly live for and serve Him. My training will also prepare me to serve current and future generations in order to make Disciples of Christ, as we have been called to do.
After three months of studying and training, my team and I will travel to several outreach locations across the globe to spread the Gospel and help those in need.
In order to make all of this happen, I need to raise funds for my tuition, travels, and living expenses! I know what you're thinking . . . "that’s crazy"! And you're right! The thing is following God requires you to do some pretty crazy thing's! Not only is this journey going to test my faith, God is also showing me just how miraculous His ways are by providing for me in such a short amount of (earthly) time.
