My Trip To Ecuador & The Galapagos

Hi everyone! My name is Bianca and for as long as I can remember, animal rights and environmental protection have been a driving force in my life. I've dedicated time to supporting these issues: raised money for a local marine mammal center, helped in shoreline clean up efforts, volunteer in my city's animal shelter to help local pets find loving homes, and worked as an intern veterinary technician in a shelter clinic.

I've always been fascinated by travel and dream of studying abroad. When I discovered The Experiment in International Living, I found a way to combine my desire to travel and support the natural world and it's creatures. I would be overjoyed if you would help me raise $5000 by May 15th, 2018 so that I can spend July in Ecuador, the Andes Mountains, and the Galapagos Islands where I would take part in community service, have the opportunity to interact with unique wildlife, on land and in the water, visit breathtaking places such as the Amazon Basin, and go to the Charles Darwin Research station to learn about the conservation efforts that maintain and improve the ecology and biodiversity of the Galapagos.
