My Thyroid Cancer

Hello everyone!

As some of you know I was recently diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer.

I had half of my thyroid out (the part with the tumor), and I had my follow-up appointment today.

The tumor was highly vascularized so I will be getting the rest of my thyroid removed in the near future, and will be getting radioactive iodine therapy after that as well.

I will keep everyone posted on here so everyone can find out information at the same time.

I had a lump in my throat that I just let sit there for months and now I have to have my entire thyroid removed! Know your normal and check yourself on a regular basis for lumps and bumps.

Also the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center has been absolutely wonderful throughout my treatment process thus far and I highly recommend them to anyone else suffering from any kind of cancer.
