My Study Abroad Endeavor

Hi, my name is Olivier Poulin! I am a 3rd year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Georgia. My passion is to help our environment by working in the field of renewable energy. On February 16th I am leaving to study abroad at the Polytechnic University of Torino, an engineering school in Italy. I am very excited and grateful for the opportunity to study in another part of the world, as this has been a dream for quite some time. I am able to pay for most of the student expenses, however, I desire the ability for an enriched experience through cultural exposure and travel, and that is where I seek financial help. From past experiences I know the impact that travel can have on myself, and at my age my father studied in Florence and expressed how transformative it was for his life. I am open to these life-changing opportunities abroad, and I am working to have the financial foundation to support this.

I have worked jobs when able, and my current job is offering substantially fewer hours than before. Therefore, I am looking for a part-time job to compensate. Any amount of support, either financial or even work opportunities, would be immensely gracious.

I am a very dedicated student, a Presidential Scholar, active member in a university club, and active musical artist. I so value my education and all the opportunities that have been offered to me, and I strive to use my knowledge and experiences for a positive impact on the world.
