My Princessa

On October 5th 2017, I almost lost my favorite human. She has been battling anorexia for 3 years now, and on that day she went into cardiac arrest. I can't put into words the fear I felt as a parent. I am so thankful every second of every day that I was there in that moment. With the guidance of a 911 operator, I performed cpr on my daughter for 11 minutes waiting for paramedics to arrive. I lost her twice and brought her back twice in that time.
On October 8th, while she was in PICU, my appendix ruptured. I had emergency surgery and became a patient myself for 10 days.
We are currently hoping to finally get to go home after 7 long weeks in the hospital. The journey to healing my beautiful girl is just beginning though. She finally wants to get better. This is the first time she is fighting on her own, not just going through the motions. I am so unbelievably proud of her and how hard she has worked to get better so far. When we leave the hospital, we have a long road still. She will be in an intensive outpatient program 3 days a week, as well as seeing an independent therapist. We will also have to follow up with cardiology and physical therapy. She has lost a lot of strength and developed neuropathy in both her hands and feet. It is worse in her feet, making walking slow and somewhat painful. The doctors believe she will eventually get the feeling back, but they don't know for sure, or how long it might take.
I am writing this and asking for help so that I can stay with her and make sure she can finally get the help she needs. I am a single mom. Without me working, I have run out of money. Her outpatient program is almost 2 hours from home, and gas alone is expensive. Once I'm able to go back to work, I will only be able to very part time because of all of her appointments.
