My Mum left heartbroken & destitute

Donation protected
I am 'Glynis Gosling', daughter of 'Linda Parker' who is the reason of my concern and why I am telling you her story.  Nearly three years ago now, my Mum and my stepfather mad the biggest decision of their lives and that was to leave South Africa in hope for a better and safer life in Australia.  To be closer to my family and me, their two beautiful grandchildren and my Mum's close sister and husband.  At the time my stepfather gave my Mum no choice but to sell all of their belongings and house hold affects to fund a three-year visa for her and start the process of an Australian "Contributory Parent Visa".

In the time that my Mum has been in and out of Australia, funds from her husband were hardly forthcoming.  Fortunately for her that whilst living with us, my husband and I have been able to support her, when she has needed to be offshore as per her Visa requirements, she went over to England to be with my brother, this is usually for 6 months at a time, he has always reciprocated by supporting her there.  My Mum is now back in Australia for the last year of the three-year visa and arrived back to find her circumstances had been drastically altered with her husband having 'unknowingly' left to immigrate to Finland via the UK.  I have an urgent need to get her Australian Residency Status 'right' for her, my greatest fear is of her being deported back to South Africa once her current Visa expires in April next year!

In early May 2018, my stepfather left Australia for England to claim his pension as he holds a British Citizenship and Passport; apparently he has now immigrated to Finland to be with his sister and family.  A cowardly late night group copy via a 'WhatsApp' message dated the 25th may 2018 from him surprised us all; he was ending his marriage of 27 years to my Mum.  He said their life together was in effect a non-entity now and that he ha decided to stay with blood relatives in Finland.  He has left his wife, my mother, heartbroken, destitute, and in fact if it were not for us, homeless, with no means of a living.  In effect she literally has nothing now but a suitcase of clothes.

Please... this lady is everything to me, my world, my anchor, my friend, she is "Nana" to my children, a precious asset to all of our lives, and she is 'my' Mum!  Mum has a heart of gold; she lives simply with a need and a want for very little.  She gives all her time with no expectation of getting in return.  Living with us has been a blessing in our lives, we as parents have had our quality of life improved, her presence has made our home so much more comfortable.  More importantly, she helps care for my two children, Madyson 6 years and Tryston 4 years.  As I work long hours her assistance helps take the stress off sending he children to both 'day-care' and 'after school care'.   They both love and adore her and their little hearts would be torn not having her around.

We really need help with this one, we need some doors opened for my Mum.  It is our hope that you can in some possible way be of assistance to her in this regard.  From what I have highlighted here it is impossible for my Mum to return to South Africa, the country is rotten with violence and crime and a destination that she can no longer refer to as home, it is only in effect her last address and place of residency.  There is nothing for her to return to!  With the ongoing 'lack' of the 'rule of law' that is part of everyday South Africa; the vulnerability that would be inflicted on an "older" single woman like Mum would be critically detrimental to her survival.  I am therefore begging the Australian powers to help me raise the funds needed for my Mum's visa before April of 2019.

I thank you for taking the time to read and understand our predicament and sincerely appreciate whatever we can raise towards her being able to permanently reside with her family, her grandchildren and I, here in Australia.

Your sincerely and much love
