My mother’s house got burned down

On Dec. 23, 2020 an apparent electrical problem on one of the meters on back of my mother’s house caused sparks and eventually a fire that burned down two mobile homes, one of those houses was where my mother, sister and nephew lived and they lost everything, thankfully they are all unharmed and I cannot be more grateful to still be able to spend Christmas with my loved ones. On one of the news mentioned that both houses were insured and that is not true, my mother and the other people living on the other house were renting and as far as I know the park requires owner to have insurance. It is going to be a long process for my family to recuperate their lives back on track as I mentioned they had only their clothes on their back. I have been receiving a great support from neighbors and the community and School advocates to get together some clothes and canned food and we are forever grateful for that. I did my best to keep them at peace this Christmas and not to worry about it but time it’s passing and now they will have to look for a new place to live, at the moment they are staying with me and I will have them here with me as long as possible but I know my mother and of course she has always had worked so hard to have her own things and place.

Es: En Diciembre 23, 2020 un aparente fallo eléctrico en uno de los medidores de luz en la parte trasera de la casa de mi madre comenzó a sacar chispas y eventualmente empezó un fuego que terminó quemando dos casas móviles. Una de esas casas era donde vivía mi madre, mi hermana ymi sobrino, lamentablemente ellos perdieron todas sus pertenencias pero graciasa Dios salieron ilesos. En una de las notasde noticias leí que decían que ambas casas estaban aseguradas y nos acabamos de enterar que la dueña de ambas casas no tiene asuguranza, pero tengo entendido que el parque de casas móviles requiere que los dueños tengan aseguranza. Como se podrán imaginar va a ser un proceso muy largo para ver quien se hace responsable de las pérdidas. Por ahora hemos recibido gran apoyo de vecinos, la comunidad y Famiy advocate de las escuelas para juntar ropa y enlatados y estaré por siempre agradecida con todos los que nos hanayudado. Trate que está navidad estuvieran tranquilos y no pensaran en la tragedia que les pasó. Pero yo se que mi mamá eventualmente va a querer hacer lo que siempre a hecho que es trabajar duro por tener sus cosas y su lugar propio. Por el momento se están quedando en mi casa y aquí los tendré por el tiempo que sea necesario. Pero pronto querrán empezar a rehacer sus vidas y encontrar un lugar donde vivir.
