My mother Susan simpkin

My name is Cerise Simpkin.

I am raising funds for the British Heart Foundation in memory of my mum Sue who sadly grew her wings on 27/10/2023. 

My mum was the most loving ,caring and family and friends orientated person, she cared for thousands of people and always went the extra mile for anyone regardless of who you was. 

She was a doctor from 25 and cared for so many people/patients . She loved knitting, crochet, cross stitching, animals, baking , rescuing our dogs from Manchester dogs trust, she loved lemon trees and Sicily as it brought her peace. She always put us first never a day where she didn't. She recently bought a house to renovate and put her heart into it, she was learning how to lay floor, put wallpaper up, painting, wood work, building shelves, hanging doors up and it was the happiest we seen her in a long time, she found a rush of energy and love to get it done for us, she was so pleased with how well she did and was always talking about it, we are going to finish the house off for her in memory of her,

we are all absolutely broken with the loss of my mum.

So in memory of my mum I will be running the AJ Bell Manchester half marathon on Sunday 26th may 2024.

All supporters will be more than welcome to cheer me on or see me at the finish line!

I have never ran a race like this ever before and this is a massive jump to make but I believe in my self and I know I have my mum next to me cheering me on! All donations will be forwarded on to the British heart foundation.
