My Mom's Heart Needs Help.

This past week my mother, Sara Johnson, was discovered to have heart failure.  There is no exact diagnosis yet, but after several opinions from doctors and cardiologists they know she has an enlarged heart that is only functioning at 20-30%.  She has a long road ahead of testing and trying to figure out the exact problem before they operate (if that's what they deem necessary), since it is a risky procedure and they want to be sure what is going on before putting her under the knife.  She is at a heightened risk for heart attack and has had asthmatic-like attacks due to fluid in her lungs from the malfunctioning heart.  As such, she has been put on bed rest for the next several months, or until they have an official diagnosis and treatment plan.

She has not been as lucky in life as many (including myself) and is in dire need of financial assistance.  She would never ask for help, so I am asking on her behalf. Due to her health complications, she's unable to work or even seek gainful employment.  Until she is able to qualify for Disability (which is a daunting process), she has no source of income to provide for her basic needs, let alone any prescriptions.

My goal is to raise $500 as a gift to get her through this next month and hopefully provide some relief while she waits for (and hopefully is granted) disability.  If we reach the goal, I'll increase it a little to provide more relief. I wish I had that money to just give her, but I do not-- so I'm reaching out to my community in hopes that there can be some help.

She is supposed to relax and stay as calm as possible to avoid stress on her heart. If she is anxious about her financial health, I do not think she can focus on healing her body.
