My Mom Lost Her Home And Her Son

My name is David Gillette, youngest son of my Mom, Martha

My mom is the solid rock of our family and has given her life in sacrifice to us and everyone she has touched. It’s truly hard to put into words what she has given up to make sure her children experience a joyful life

My hands shake, my tears flow and my screen turned blurry as I call for help

On Friday March 31st, my mom and brothers home was ripped apart by the Tornado that hit Little Rock, Arkansas. We have been feverishly working on salvaging efforts. She is now living with family and her future is uncertain

On Tuesday morning April 4th, my mom also lost her first born son and my brother Eric in Little Rock, Arkansas. We are grieving together and planning future arrangements to honor my brother, a proud Navy Veteran. Our brother and my moms son would want to be laid to rest in Arkansas, close to my mom and family, as well as Arlington National Cemetery, by my resting Granny Skippy & Granny Liz. The last words I spoke to my big brother were “I love you brother, I’ll see you tomorrow” as I gave him my last hug

She has given so much to so many. This is an opportunity for her to rest and experience the love and generosity of people

We have had so many ask how they can contribute. I can think of no better way, than allowing our family in friends to be a part of helping my mom rebuild, and honoring my brother Eric
