My Grandma Was Scammed. Her Bank Was Emptied

I normally would never do this, but I can't believe my grandma was a victim of a classic scam. Someone called her and made it seem as if they were part of the bank and that there were fraudulent charges on her bank account. They then proceeded to tell her that they needed her to go to the nearest CVS and get gift cards. I think you know where this is going...she lost $1,600 to scammers. $1,600 may not seem like a lot but it is to my elderly grandparents. This scammer told her not to tell anyone and made it seem like they were from the bank. Additionally, her real bank said there was nothing they could do about it. Thanksgiving is right around the corner and I know this will weigh heavily on them. I only ask to be able to be able to give back what they lost and hope to lift this emotional burden for them.
