My Golden Apple Artist-in-Residency

I have been awarded a small scholarship to attend the Golden Apple Art Residency. The scholarship covers a small portion of the cost of a two week residency that includes lodging, a private studio and food in a remote coastal region of Maine.  I need to raise money for the rest of the cost before August 19, just 21 days before I attend. I knew I could afford most of it, but my complete computer system failed and I need to replace that. So it is hard for me to do both BIG things this summer.

 I will grow as an artist and an educator. I will be able to spend 2 weeks, without any distractions, to photograph the Maine landscape and produce new work to exhibit, to share, to collaborate, to inspire. My idea is Quilting! I will explore the history of quilting as storytelling and documenting. It is what I do as a photographer now. With so many pictures taken in that area, I will make photo quilts bases on idea, location or color. These funds will help pay for my airfare, food and lodging while I am there, and help me pay for my new computer system where I process all the pictures.  I need the funds by August 18, 2017.
