LET'S HELP SEND WILMAR HOME!

Donation protected
On April 13, a buddy & fellow shredder from Calgary, Wilmar Ababa sustained serious but non life threatening injuries after a bad crash trying to avoid landing on a fellow rider that wiped out in front of him on a mini road gap feature at Mount Swansea in Northern BC.

The crash rendered him temporarily unconscious & breathless which required CPR to resume normal breathing. He was rushed to Invermere General before being airlifted to VGH Spine Unit.

Wilmar sustained C4 spinal injury & some fractures in his neck. Fortunately, the injuries did not require surgery although the nerves on his spine were badly bruised which limited his ability to move his upper body.

Doctor's say it's still too early to tell when he would recover 100% mobility. Wilmar's treatment requires physiotherapy & rehabilitation which is not covered by British Columbia since he is a resident of Alberta. At this time it is still unclear what Alberta Health Care would cover while he is still in BC.

Meanwhile, what the family needs is $20,000 to transport him back to Calgary. Let's all join in helping a fellow shredder get back home to his wife & kids while trying to regain most of his mobility.❤️
