My Fathers Grave Marker

I have created this gofundme page to ask friends and family to help by donating what they can, to assist both my loving grandparents and I in paying for a grave marker for my dads’ final resting place. 

At 2am Friday, January 27th, 2017 my father Alec Larry Callahan was found unconscious at a homeless shelter in Brampton Ontario. He was rushed to Brampton Civic hospital where he was later pronounced dead. His death was sudden and for lack of better words, devastating. 

My father Larry Callahan was quite honestly the kindest man I had ever met, with perhaps one of the most loving, gentle and caring hearts a son or parent could ask for. And so I sit behind my computer screen asking for help from anyone who can, to help achieve a grave marker for my deserving father.

Because of my dads’ economical state, his funeral was paid for by the Region of Peel. However a grave marker was not provided. A recent visit with my grandparents informed me that the cemetery where my father lays does not permit other companies to make/provide grave markers. Therefore, the only option is to purchase one from the home itself, or leave the grave unmarked.

I, nor my grandparents are able to pay for a grave marker at this time, so I have created this page to ask those of you who can, to please help us raise the money to get a flat grave marker. So that I, as well as visiting friends and family, will be able to find, visit and pay respects to his final Home.
