My daughter Marlena is a beautiful 28 yr old young lady who was just diagnosed with a extremly rare sinus cancer called SMARCB1-deficient sinonasal carcinoma. This cancer was only discovered 6 yrs ago and before her only had 39 reported cases. Marlena has been in the hospital for the past 3 weeks in Wisconsin with no release date planned. The pain for from the tumor is so bad they admitted her and shes on 4 pain meds and a nerve block with afew other meds and she still is always in pain. They tumor is not surgical because theres to much nerve involvement, She has lost her vision in her left eye and now her right eye is having issues. She has no taste or smell. Most of her face is completely numb, she is also numb in top and side of head and her gums. At this point chemo is her only option so they started that on Friday 6/24 and is set for 3 months of chemo. Because her right eye is now being affected they are saying the may go ahead and start
radiation, we are waiting for dr to come in. She is also getting a feeding tube as shes already lost 10 lbs in 2 weeks.
Marlena is in hospital in Milwaukee which is 90 miles from where she lives, she has no family here so myself and her sister are relocating from south Fl to Wisconsin to be here to care for her. We wanted to take to her home to Florida but at this point Drs say it is not safe to move her so Wisconsin it is.
Im starting this fundrasier to help with anything medical she will need and to help try to cover living cost as i still have my home in Florida that her dad is in so we will be covering both places and now will be 1 income instead of 2 and also will help be able to bring her Dad up to see her as much as possible.
I know times are hard for everyone and those who know me know i dont like asking but at this time I have to ask for & accept help because i need to help my little girl to fight like hell right now.
