My CELTA Certificate
Donation protected
I have started this gofundme in order to raise tuition money for my CELTA Certificate. CELTA stands for Cambridge English Language Teaching to Adults. With this Certificate, I will be a top-tier candidate for any position where I would teach English as a Foreign Language.
In addition to my Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing and English, which I earned last year, the CELTA certificate will be the perfect training I need to pursue my dream job of teaching English abroad.
The CELTA Certificate is usually a 4-week intensive, full-time course with several hours of teaching practice to real ESL students. With COVID-19, some courses have moved online and are offered on a part-time basis at 10/11 weeks, depending upon the center. (Teaching practice is done via Zoom, instead of in-person.)
As of right now, I have only applied to one center (Missouri State University) and I'm currently working on the pre-interview task. I will be submitting applications to a couple of other centers and I will update here when I have done so.
Most centers in the United States have a tuition rate of anywhere from $2,500 to $3,000. Any money left over will be used to purchase books and materials, as well as supplementing income if I need to miss work for studying purposes.
The course at Missouri State University begins in December and I will need to pay the full tuition before the course starts. I may be able to push the timeline to a later date once we are closer to 2021 and centers have released their new schedules.
Thank you so much for your donations and your shares on Facebook; your support means the world to me.

P.S. The picture is my cat because I didn't know what to put there.
