Costly Emergency Vet Visit

We had a scary night when my cat, Pocus, was rushed to the emergency vet at 9 pm on Tuesday. I came home that night, and Pocus was unable to put weight on her foot and cried out in pain when she had to. Out of fear of a broken paw or worse, I took her in. After several hours, mild sedation, two X-Rays, and prescription pain killers to keep her comfortable, she is stable and resting for the time being.

I am thankful that she is able to rest more relaxed, but the result of last night was nearly $900 in vet bills. My first priority was to take care of Pocus to make sure she wasn't in pain, but this unexpected expense has taken a large toll on me financially. I have now found myself in a hard place this month to pay Pocus' bills while keeping myself afloat.
