Rest In Peace, my baby Kate
My beautiful 13 year old daughter took her life on Tuesday morning. We had all tried to fight her mental illness for so long, we begged for help and the system did what it could but it wasn’t enough.
Her suffering is over and ours has just begun. My husband and I had to watch as our precious baby chose to step in front of a car rather than face the pain her life had become. The image of her being hit before our eyes will haunt us forever.
Her 11 year old sister is devastated and doesn’t understand why her mentor, her protector, her best friend and sister is t going to be there anymore- why she would choose to leave her.
None of us can comprehend it. The idea of returning to teaching other people’s children feels impossible to me now.
i hope we may raise enough to get my remaining child with OCD and my husband with bipolar the help they will need for the rest of her life and mine.
