Buying Bees For A Teaching Apiary
I run the rescue/teaching apiary at Scatter Joy Acres in Omaha, NE. This apiary will be a new home for bees that have been rescued I stead of exterminated when found in buildings and structures. It is also a training apiary for a group of apprentices that will learn by doing as they assist me in keeping the honey bees healthy, alive and thriving to produce honey and beeswax that can be used to raise funds for the animal rescue activities at Scatter Joy Acres. While rescued bee colonies will be relocated to the teaching apiary, in order to give apprentices and participants in a veterans beekeeping group the opportunity to get learning right away from the beginning of the season, we are looking to obtain four (4) bee colonies in packages or nucleus colonies.
