Muttaburra State School Snow Camp 2023

Donation protected
Muttaburra is a tiny rural town in the geographical centre of Queensland with a population of under 100 people. It is home to the Muttaburrasaurus dinosaur. The weather is typically hot and dry, and no snow has ever fallen in Muttaburra. The closest ski fields are over 2000kms away. That is where the Muttaburra State School P&C want to send their 17 students this September! What an incredible experience for these bush kids! For the vast majority of families, the full cost of this camp is well out of economic reach. We have single-parent families, families recovering from drought and families with members living away due to medical reasons. They have already been working tirelessly catering, holding trivia nights and cricket days, and selling produce from their community garden. But this is a big fundraising hill to climb, and we need your help.

The funds raised will go towards flights (2 fights to get there and 2 flights to get home which will be exciting in itself as lots of these kids have never been on an aeroplane!), accommodation, meals and activities (think skiing, Questacon, National Zoo and Jungle golf) as well as a visit to Parliament House and the Australian War Memorial. They have a jam-packed week of activities planned - what an opportunity!

Please donate to help the Muttaburra State School kid's dream of a snow camp become reality!!
