The Music of Senegal project showcases the stories and talents of musicians throughout Senegal. Working in partnership with the musicians, we are creating a series of short music documentaries, each highlighting a musician or group.
The project started in 2019 with the initial goal to raise $4000 which was met successfully. We used the funds to film and pay the musicians and our local organizers - without whom there wouldn't be nearly as much inspiring footage.
Our longer-term goal now is to raise money to fund the production of these short vignettes, and bring more money to the people that helped make this happen. All of the money donated will be split up between the people involved, both in front of and behind the camera, and their families.
