Help Mushkie get to Shana Beis!

 Hi, my name is Mushkie Engel and I'm currently in seminary Beis Chana in Tzfat, Israel.

It was always my dream to come study here. Girls from previous years told me how amazing this seminary is - how you get to learn deeply about Judaism and specifically Chassidus, together with over 100 other girls your age, all focusing on working on ourselves and becoming better people.

Boruch Hashem (thank G-d), and with the financial help of several grants and assistance from family, plus using my life's savings, I was able to achieve my dream and make it here. It's just as good as they told me! The learning is intense, the schedule rigorous (we start at 7.40am and finish at 4.50pm, with a half hour for lunch and breakfast, plus 20 minute breaks between classes, then some nights we have night class as well) and the atmosphere is one of camaraderie and growth. It's so good, in fact, that I want to continue on for a second year - the smaller, optional program called Shana Beis (year 2). In Shana Beis, they maintain the high standards of learning and also focus more on skills for the real world - more practical teaching experience, more classes on marriage, arranging more of your own programs...the list goes on.

As a Chabad girl, I plan to spend my life on shlichus - moving to some far out place and helping Jews there with whatever they might need, physically and spiritually. I grew up this way, I want to continue this way, and I feel that I really need to keep learning and growing for one more year before I will be ready to give to others for the rest of my life.

This is where you can help! My parents are shluchim in Adelaide, Australia; our only income comes from other people's support of our Chabad House. I cannot ask my parents for more money - thank G-d I have 6 younger siblings, and my parents already gave all they could for this year. My savings, which I worked throughout high school to accumulate, were used for this year, and I still need $10,000 to pay for next year. The tuition is $9,000, I can get a grant for $2,000 and airfare to Australia and back will use up the rest. I will be working in the summer and next year to get spending money.

Please help me achieve my dream!
