Murray's Amputation

Murray is our 3 year-old Boston Terrier. He is sweet, loyal and goofy beyond words! Unfortunately on February 7th he was hit by a car that swerved onto the curb and then sped away before we could get their information. The driver was presumably drunk, (who else could hit a dog and drive away at 1 a.m.)? Murray received a lot of body damage and tragically he lost his hind leg due to the extent of his injuries. Since his initial hospilization we have been frequenting the vet several times a week and have recently had to take him back into the emergency vet for a second time due to a fever which we are still currently nursing. His amputation site is severly infected now, with the infection burrowed deep within his wound. It has the potential to infect his remaining bone which would require another amputation. We struggled with how to go about this; however with the outpouring of love and well wishes we are hoping that perhaps friends, family and even kind strangers can donate a few dollars which may add up and help us alleviate the total cost.
