Mums Fighting Cancer fund

Donation protected
So, hi everyone, firstly thank for coming here and taking the time to read my post. I hope i dont bore you to death and will try to keep everything as on point as i can. I shall begin...

The picture i have posted is that of my Mum. A lovely woman who i adore (and can also drive me mad :-))
At the beginning of this year her life and mine, my brothers and her sisters and many others were torn apart when she was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that had spread to the lining of the brain, a condition called leptomeningeal carcinomatosis. This came as a huge shock as she was in excellent health. The only indicator which lead to the diagnosis was a strange few minutes on the phone to me when she could no longer speak properly. i assumed she had a few drinks but she was sober :-) This incident set in motion events which ended in this devastaing  diagnosis.

However, we didnt let this drag us down to long and sat down spending literally 100s of hours researching on the internet. Statistics became irelevant and we set to work working out how to lengthen Mums odds of survival. How can we keep her well and her weight up through chemo, how can we make chemo more effective, how can we reduce the likely hood of her dying through other means (infection / blood clots / chemo related death) who has survived long term and what did they do, how can we reduce the likelyhood of further metasis. Based on all this research we came up with a plan to fight back. nearly 8 months down the line Mum is in excellent health, the main tumour is continuing to shrink, no further spread and is doing in the oncologists words 'exceptionally well' Our aim is to keep Mum this well for years to come and continue to create amazing memories as we have done over the last few months.

Id love to be able to fund everrything we are doing personally but it is just no longer possible. My credit card bills are hitting their limit but we would really love to continue what we are doing. Who knows if all or any of what we do is helping but things are going so well we are afraid to stop anything.

Costs heavy produects are:

CBD oil - £299.00 for a months supply at 40% potency. Huge amounts of reasearch suggests this helps to not only fight cancer but make chemo more effective.

Curcumin: A deritive of tumeric, it is an incredibly exciting natural product that has extensive research around cancer fighting properties. The best and independently tested product is £56.00 for a months supply.

Quercitin: Again, an exciting componemt that helps your body kill cancer by blocking proteins.

Medicinal Mushrooms - In Japan they are used alongside chemo as standard to make it more effective and to help fight cancer, it has excellent press and is being researched worldwide. The best product is shipped from America costing £35.00 for a months supply.

There are many other siuppplemets mum is taking to stay well, Milk thiste to detox the liver, Black seed oil to boost the immune system, Moringa powder to boost immunity, Vitamin D (research suggest people with low vitamin D levels are far more likely to get cancer), high quality Vitamin C, Aloe vera to help with chemo side effects, Cannabis oil to fight cancer and improve appetite to keep weight on and many others.

Mum herself has cut out dairy (a reported cancer causer) Sugar, meat and only consumes organic produce. She goes out for a run almost everyday, swims up to twice a week, goes to pilates and goes for long walks almost everyday (research is highly suggestive that exercise extends your chances of survival and makes chemo more effective) 3 days proceeding chemo Mum ALWAYS goes running.

She is fighting for her life and doing all she can personally.

We are also doing many things to help create good times, positivity and excellent memories, nothing extravagant but still costs money.

Unfortunately all this comes at a cost which we are now struggling to meet.
Any help given will be thankfully received and put to good use. It allow us to keep Mum well and fighting, removes the worry of financial problems and we hope beyond hope that it gives us so much more time with Mum. She is currently on first line treatment, should this fail there is still 2nd and 3rd line treatments they can use which they can only do if she is well. We need to keep her healthy and fighting to achieve this if the time comes.
We are leaving nothing to chance, i love my Mum more than anything and this has without doubt been the most terrifying time of my life but i feel like we are currently winning and need your help to continue this.

Please be assured that all we are doing for Mum is based on sound research and repeated evidence of success.

Any help given will be thankfully received.

Thanks for reading and if there are any questions anyone has i will gladly answer them.

With much love and hope

Julie, Hazel, Darral and all our family and friends who are marching us through this most difficult time.
