Multi-cultural band "G Tano" is ready to record!!

Hi dear reader,

Let me begin by introducing you to some band history:

Our stage name is " G Tano ".

Thanks for your interest in us.

The core of the project is led by 4 musicians with more than 15 years' experience in the music industry, along with some other incredibly talented session musicians, video makers and visual artists, based in Melbourne/Australia, and coming from very different places, such as Italy, Chile, Australia, Ecuador, Indonesia, Brazil and more.

Our main goal is to make quality music that moves your feet while stimulating your imagination.

We combine joyful funk grooves, Latin interludes, jazz structures, and psychedelic improvised solos.

The band is inspired by old-school funk veterans such as Maceo Parker, Prince, The Meters and contemporary acid jazz and neo-funk music. These include Thundercat, Vulfpeck, Cory Wong, and Jamiroquai.

Some of the acoustic tunes we worked on are inspired by Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Vicente Amigo and Francesco Buzzurro.

Since the band was formed in 2022, every live set has resulted in a sold-out. This is thanks also to the impeccable reputation of the musicians involved and the incredible tight grooves the band provides.

The mind behind this project (which is also writing to you now!) is Stefano Ioele. A musician who has left his hometown in Italy, along with his job, family, dogs and friends, to pursue the production of this very piece of work which is presented here.

The question you might have asked now is "Why should I support you?"...

The answers are so many and so similar to all the other incredible projects funded on this website. Writing the same things over and over would be repetitive.

- Surely we can't afford such a small amount of AUD (which says a lot about the state of the music industry in this post-Covid world), and that's a fact -

As most musicians, we want to focus on the positive aspects of a problem, to come up with solutions.

Your funding will produce a stunning piece of art.

We will hire one of the most excellent music studios in Melbourne while working with a great team of sound engineers.

Not to mention that video content will be produced during the process.

We will update the process with weekly videos on our social media (link below) to document a never-seen-before blend of incredible music.

And most of all, we can deliver our music everywhere:
