Mules Kick Cancer

The Colby College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is partnering with Colby Athletics to raise money for breast cancer research for the month of October. The incidence of breast cancer in Maine is significantly higher than the national average (126  women diagnosed each year compared to the national average of 123 women).  In 2018, 266,000 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed. About 1 out of every 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.  It is our goal to help raise awareness and funding for breast cancer research within our state of Maine. This disease has touched each and every one of us in some way. Colby SAAC asks that we come together as a community, both far and near, to Mule Kick Cancer this October.
