Opheila and Carter
Ophelia Mulder (8 years old)
was diagnosed with Burkitts Lymphoma cancer on October 6, 2017 and was admitted to the Stollery on October 12 to start the tests, receive chemo and have surgery. The treatment plan will be a minimum of four months so there will be many extra expenses for the family. Ophelia is the daughter of Jonathan & Tara Mulder. Granddaughter to Jack & Mary-Jean Mulder and great granddaughter to Gerritt & Diane Pikkert. Many of Tara’s family members are from Montreal.
Carter Tancock is the infant son of Mehgan & Jeff Tancock of Lacombe. He is also the grandson of Marlene (Mulder) & Murray Shaw of Lacombe and Joan (Tancock) Polino, husband Pierre and the late Ron Tancock. He is also the grandson of Angus & the late Mary Shaw. Carter had serious birth difficulties and is now facing life long disabilities. He was born June 19, 2017.
Tetsy & the late John Mulder are the great grandparents of both children. The Mulder’s have lived in the Lincoln District since the early 1950’s.
The funds raised will be given to Ophelia and Carter's families, as support from the community, in hopes to somewhat ease the heavy burden they carry.
