Sgt. Richardson Needs Your Help!
Donation protected
Meet Ashley, Nick, and their four beautiful children!
Vinita Park Police Sgt. Nick Richardson is a loving husband, dedicated father, respected police officer, and he needs our help! Due to a difficult lifetime battle with Type 1 Diabetes, Nick underwent a pancreas transplant in February 2015 hoping to improve his long-term health not only for himself, but for his young family.
Because of the Ferguson situation, Nick had to be placed on the inactive donor list, which made for a lengthy wait for this donor match. Though a blessing, Nick and his family were not prepared for the sudden change in their lives. An intense schedule of medications, blood tests, and monitoring is required for up to two months after the surgery, and periodically for an additional 15 months. During this time Nick and his family must live in an extended stay location in Indiana near the transplant hospital.
The money raised will assist the Richardson family with expenses related to Nick's recovery and this long stay away from their St. Louis home. Any funds the family doesn’t use will be donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity!
