Mubeen Medical Fund

On Sunday, June 4th at around 6pm, Mubeen Ahmed was at a gas station. A guy came and pulled a gun, asked him money. Mubeen gave him but unfortunately he shot mubeen and fled the scene. Mubeen was immediately rushed to nearby hospital where it was discovered that he had severe critical injuries and had many internal bleeding in his abdomen. Since then, he underwent abdominal surgeries and many medical procedures, his partial stomach and intestine were removed and his spleen is gone, liver laceration, pancreas were damaged. Although the injury was life-threatening and he remained in critical condition, Mubeen had been fighting for and improving condition each and every day. He still has few surgeries to go.


Mubeen is 23 years old, student who came to USA 2 years ago to get his Master degree and was attending Silicon Valley University. He has his family in India, his parents got visa but Mom can’t travel because of medical condition. His elder brother came a week ago and is taking care of him.


We are requesting to pray for him and hoping for his complete recovery, at the same time we also request for any financial help as the severity of Mubeen’s injuries will require constant care. We believe that anyone who donates to this cause deserves complete transparency in regards to the costs, and the major costs associated with his treatment are listed below:


1. Abdominal surgery for his initial internal bleeding (splenectomy)
2. Medication he’s being administered as he recovers
3. Physical rehabilitation and medical supplies which he will need later
4. Accommodation (SFO area) for his parents
5. Legal expenses and travel involved
6. Future surgeries (Stoma surgery and pancreas stent removal)
 

While we are hopeful that insurance will help ease some of these costs, the remainder will still be well outside of his family’s financial ability. We are calling on the generosity of his extended family, friends, and strangers to help in the following ways so that his family can focus on Mubeen’s health:
