This is an update to the storyline of Summer's condition. Please read on.
Within in a week, Summer went from a healthy 7 year old little girl to a critically ill patient in ICU. Summer was admitted to the hospital, Saturday, December 2nd due to complaints of severe stomach pain. Several days have passed before they were able to diagnose her. Normally, Summer's condition usually runs its course with minimal problems. Unfortunately for her, this is not the case. In fact, Summer's case is highly unusual and doctors have not seen this get as bad as it is. Summer is experiencing rare complications such as kidney damage, fluid in the lungs, heart complications, and continuing severe pain. With this said, Summer will be undergoing continuous intensive care for an unknown length of time. Summer's parents are having to miss work to be there for her and along with that, the medical bills are stacking up and they are required to pay a large out of pocket expense for 2017. With January 1 fast approaching, the deductible will reset to zero and will start over causing additional expenses to encur, so the need for these funds is immediate. My name is Dean Miller, Summer's Medical Fund campaign manager. I am Summer's papa, and her mommy's daddy. These funds will be utilized to pay for missed work, medical expenses, and everyday living expenses.
