Mi nombre es Dilon Ramos y esta es mi historia

Tengo 24 años y soy Nicaragüense, en el 2018 mientras cursaba 4to año de la carrera de contaduría pública y finanzas, hubo un estallido sociopolítico en mi país, donde miles de Nicaragüenses salieron a las calles a protestar pacíficamente en contra del gobierno debido a una reforma al seguro social que afectaba tanto a los ancianos pensionados como a la población en general con los impuestos. Los estudiantes apoyamos con marchas y plantones y el gobierno reprimió y asesino a miles de nicaragüenses con sus fuerzas armadas. También metió a la cárcel de manera arbitraria a cualquier persona que estuviese involucrada con las protestas, incluyéndome a mí. El ministerio público me acusó de terrorismo y golpismo al estado de Nicaragua. Fui torturado por agentes de la policía y en dichas torturas recibí un golpe con la culata de una Ak-47 en la parte derecha de mi cabeza causándome sangrados en mi oído y perdiendo la audición. Estuve 10 meses secuestrado en el sistema penitenciario nacional Jorge Navarro y a pesar de que mi abogado metió recursos de amparo en reiteradas ocaciones durante esos 10 meses para que yo pudiese recibir asistencia médica, no fue sino hasta el 20 de mayo del 2019 que mediante los diálogos entre el gobierno y la oposición se logró mi libertad y pude hacerme una revisión general de salud y saber sobre el estado de mi oído. Me diagnosticaron una hipoacusia profunda de tipo neurosensorial. Por falta de dinero no pude hacerme la operación que necesitaba y a mi familia y a mí, nos toco quedarnos de brazos cruzados. En el 2021 por el asedio del régimen, me toco exiliarme en Costa Rica donde empezó mi problema con mi único oído bueno (el izquierdo) el cual me ha estado dando problemas para escuchar, los doctores me indican que esto se debe a un desgaste por tener solo un oído funcionando. Estaba trabajando en un almacén fiscal y por mi pérdida de audición, que va avanzando forma bastante rápida, tuve que dejarlo, ya que era peligroso para mi y para mis compañeros de trabajo que yo de repente no pudiese escuchar por ejemplo a los montacargas acercarse.

Estoy en el punto en que puedo perder mi audición por completo.

Con la ayuda de ustedes podría hacerme la operación de implante coclear, que necesito para poder mejorar mi audición.

Soy un joven que ha pasado por muchas cosas en la vida, haber sido secuestrado, perder la audición de un oído y ahora estar a punto de perderla completamente son cosas que me han afectado mucho y me causan temor pero he ido trabajándolo poco a poco porque aún tengo muchas ganas de seguir luchando por mis sueños y espero ustedes me apoyen!

I was kidnapped in the Jorge Navarro national penitentiary system for 10 months and despite the fact that my lawyer filed amparo appeals repeatedly during those 10 months so that I could receive medical assistance, it was not until May 20, 2019 that through the dialogues Between the government and the opposition, my freedom was achieved and I was able to have a general health check-up and find out about the state of my hearing. I was diagnosed with profound sensorineural hearing loss. Due to lack of money I could not have the operation I needed and my family and I had to sit idly by. In 2021 due to the siege of the regime, I had to go into exile in Costa Rica where my problem began with my only good ear (the left one) which has been giving me trouble hearing, the doctors tell me that this is due to wear due to have only one ear working. I was working in a bonded warehouse and because of my hearing loss, which is progressing quite rapidly, I had to quit, as it was dangerous for me and my co-workers that I suddenly couldn't hear approaching forklifts, for example.

I am at the point where I may lose my hearing completely.

I am a young man who has gone through many things in life, having been kidnapped, losing his hearing in one ear and now being about to lose it completely are things that have affected me a lot and cause me fear, but I have been working on it little by little because I still really want to continue fighting for my dreams and I hope you support me!
