Ms Ruby needs our help!

Anyone who has visited West Hollywood Elementary has had the pleasure of interacting with Ms. Ruby, who works in the main office. She is always willing to drop anything to help any parent in need plus she loves all the kids. She is one of the good ones and needs our help.
To the best of my knowledge, Ms. Ruby has been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. Because of her battle, Ruby has reduced her work hours to part-time and will be wearing a mask to protect herself while she is on campus. I want to encourage everyone to reach out to Ruby during this time and wish her well. Have your kids make her cards, or perhaps bring her flowers. Even the smallest gesture can really brighten someone's day when they are going through tough times.
Ruby is such a kind, loving, helpful person, and I know there are others from our community who would want to go above and beyond. She has expressed that assistance with meals isn’t ideal right now, as her diet is limited because of the chemotherapy. But I am sure some financial assistance would be greatly appreciated if it comes from the heart.
This is not coming from the FOWHE board or the school. This is an idea that some concerned parents have kicked around and I am putting a plan in place. Thank you to everyone for taking the time to read this and for possibly donating. We have the best community, full of kind and generous people who make it all feel like a big family.
