Raising Funds for Ms. Amanda

As many of you already know, Ms. Amanda Husmann is currently in the hospital as a result of renal failure. After being unexpectedly admitted to the hospital on March 11th, she underwent surgery this morning (3/14/2018) and will soon begin dialysis treatments to help her body until a kidney transplant is available. Even though renal failure is something that runs in her family, this diagnosis was very unexpected for Amanda and her family. We ask that you keep Amanda, her husband Chris, and their son Miles in your thoughts and prayers as they begin to navigate hospitals and treatment options. As many of you know, Ms. Amanda and Mr. Chris have worked for The Compass School for many years, and they are like family. With any stay in the hospital, bills add up quickly. With both taking time off work, we wanted to reach out to our community and family and ask for donations to help offset the cost of current and future treatments and hospital visits. Please consider making a monetary donation to help Ms. Amanda and her family. It's hard to place a dollar amount on a situation like this, but anything and everything will help in some way. We know that this is a terribly difficult time for the Husmann family and we hope to show them how much we care for them and want to support them through this endeavor. 


As some of you may know, Ms. Amanda recently changed classrooms and began teaching in a toddler class. After talking with her toddler friends, we decided on a few other things that might also help Ms. Amanda and her family during this time, if you cannot make a monetary donation.
