MS Stem Cell Treatment for Bri
Donation protected
Bri is a wife and mother of 5 very active boys. I have always admired her love of life, desire for adventure and ability to see the bright side of anything. She loves giving to others and reaching out to meet someone new.
9 years ago, Bri was diagnosed with MS. MS is a disease in which the immune system attacks the nervous system, it is progressive, incurable and a neurological disorder. Bri has a more aggressive form of MS and deals with numbness, fatigue, balance issues, difficulty walking, and muscle spasms to name a few of her symptoms. Currently, Multiple Sclerosis medications only offer treatment and therapy for the symptoms of the disease and unfortunately the disease will only continue to progress. These drugs may help with symptoms, but only at the expense of serious, often life-endangering side effects. Bri was recently approved for a new therapy that has seen much improvement in patients, but unfortunately her insurance will not cover it. We are hoping to raise the funds to cover her treatment and her travel expenses by the first week of June.
The treatment that she will be doing is through Stem Genex. They use stem cells from the patient's own fat cells. This is a groundbreaking research that has seen much progress. Here are some links to more information on the company and the research:
