MS Service Dog Fund for Jo Anne

Please meet Jo Anne Munsell. Throughout our lives we've regarded her as the foundation of our family, the center of our Munsell universe. For so many years she has placed friends and family before herself. I'd like to take this opportunity to, finally, place Jo Anne Munsell before ourselves.
About 15 years ago, our family received horrible news when Jo Anne was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. At first she was diagnosed with Secondary Progressive MS and then later, even worse, diagnosed with the far more serious Primary Progressive MS. Needless to say our lives were forever changed. Over the years Jo Anne has battled, so bravely, this debilitating disease, all the while getting worse. Recently, Jo Anne's quality of life has diminished in that her general mobility, lack of balance and muscle spasms have caused falls, sometimes resulting in further injury.
Our MS counselors have offered hope, however, in suggesting a Service Dog. A service dog would help her along with trivial daily tasks, which for Jo Anne are almost impossible. Movements that many people take for granted, like getting out of bed, getting dressed, and event bathing are no small task for anyone with MS; a Service Dog would be able to assist in these tasks and much more, giving Jo Anne a big boost in self esteem and joy.
Jo Anne has always lived for our family and friends always offering to lend a hand in times of need. She has worked and raised four beautiful strong children and has been blessed with eight grandchildren. So it is time that we be the ones to give her that helping hand.
