Ms. Gerri’s fight against pancreatic cancer

To know our Mom… Ms. Gerri to so many… is to love her and to have been touched by her love, goodness, grace and light. She has dedicated her life to helping and uplifting others. Never hesitating to show up and to wrap her family, friends and students with all the love in her heart.
Earlier this year, she was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. She started chemotherapy in April.
Shortly after receiving her diagnosis, she was in the hospital for 17 days due to an infection in her blood, and then again for 3 days due to blood clots in her lungs.
She is handling the treatment well. Her spirit is bright and her faith is strong, but we know that we need help as we start to wrap our heads and hearts around the journey ahead.
We are raising money primarily to help with the medical costs required for treatment.
And also for groceries, cleaners, medical supplies at home, care for our wonderful Grandma (who just turned 96 and lives with her), and to be able to continue utilizing every tool available to us for her healing. We are going to fight this with her, one day at a time, and we know that she has an army of love and support that will lift her up as we navigate it all together.
