Ms. Destiny’s 8th Grade Classroom
Donation protected
As many of you may know, I’ll be starting my journey as an 8th grade English Language Arts (ELA) teacher in just a few short weeks! After a lot of conversations and consideration, I have decided to start a go fund me for my future classroom! Instead of graduation gifts going towards me, I would prefer for them to go towards my classroom for the youth of today! Tyrone Middle, a Title I School, is the perfect place for me to evoke change and build relationships with all of my scholars. The general population ranges from about 800-900 students depending on enrollment. And with all of the challenges the pandemic brings, I would like to create a space that my students can call home. There is a high number of minorities that attend Tyrone Middle School and I would love to be a support for them and encourage them through relatability and being knowledgeable about careers and higher levels of education. Monetary donations will allow me to buy the things my students need in the classroom, which is why I decided to start this fund! I can also do PayPal, Cash App, Venmo, checks in the mail, and any other way you see fit to be a blessing. I’m also going to leave the link to my Amazon wish list if you would prefer to purchase directly off there. If you can’t give financially, shout out some programs, grants, or even websites what can help assist in getting this classroom in order. Not to mention if any of you have any books at home that would be GREAT and appropriate for an 8th grade classroom please let me know! Thank you all in advance who would like to help make this classroom a home away from home for my future students. Please like and share for there might be others that would like to help and maybe even adopt a classroom too!
With Gratitude,
Ms. Destiny Herbert
