Make a Difference

My name is Bryan Pope and I am an inspirational rapper and a fifth grade reading teacher at McNair School of Excellence on the west side of Chicago. I am initiating a Make a Difference and Anti Bullying campaign and I need your sponsorship.
I yearn to canonize messages of positivity throughout schools around the world. My brand, Mr. Pope, embodies positivity. My music inspires, motivates, and encourages students and young adults to reflect on their lives, consider others, love themselves, and be who they are on their own terms.
Positivity begets positivity. Imagine communities of young people immersed in positivity. Imagine what those communities would look like. Imagine the interactions those young people will have as they grow.
Similar to how schools have rallies to get students excited about testing, I desire to have rallies in efforts to get students excited about making a difference in their school community and to get students excited about anti-bullying. The rally will consist of a live performance by myself, a short dialogue between myself and the students, and a skit enacted by the students.
At the end of the rally, each student will receive a bookmark, a wristband, a sticker, a magnet, a calendar, and graphic coloring sheets (created by a high school student). All of these items are free of cost to the students.
I am currently in conversation with a few schools and a school district, but I do not have the materials to make each visit (what I deem) complete for the students. Additionally, most schools do not have an adequate sound system. This is why I am in need of funds.
The movement is not limited to schools. I also want to take this experience to community organizations, park districts, and libraries.
Please help me as I use my platform as an educator, and as I use one of the most popular cultures (hip hop) in the world, to promote peace throughout the world.
