Please help Derek get his life saving treatment

My name is Jill and I met Catherine and Derek when they moved into their. Beautiful new home opposite me 4 years ago... We became real good friends from then on.
There was Catherine and Derek with their children Morgan, James and Grace.
As well as there grandson Kayden.
Life was fantastic.  Catherine was working in a care home and Derek was working in Steel fabrication as well as trying to make a go of a window cleaning business he’d just bought.


Derek began having a lot of pain in his ribs and  this went on for a few months until he saw his GP.  He was referred for an x-ray at the beginning of 2019.  February 2019 he was diagnosed with a cancer of some form but wasn’t given the detail.  The beginning of March Derek was told he had a blood cancer called multiple myeloma which was very rare in an adult of his age. (39) Derek then started his first round of chemo after being told by his consultant that this cancer couldn’t be cured but treated. Life expectancy of around 7 years was given.

Derek has now had 5 failed chemotherapy treatments including a stem cell transplant.

He has recently been given some results of a pet scan and these are now showing new areas of medullary disease. 

Unfortunately the NHS have tried to get Derek on to clinical trials but have been unsuccessful due to legislation and are unable to fund anymore treatment for him


Derek’s only option now is car-T treatment which is thousands of pounds and would be performed in America.

Please help me raise these funds for Derek and his beautiful family.  He is 41 and could have a fantastic life ahead of him given the chance.
