MRECC Reception at SCS 2020!

Salvete! The Multiculturalism, Race & Ethnicity in Classics Consortium (MRECC) is having its first ever social event during the Society for Classical Studies annual meeting in Washington D.C. The reception will take place on Saturday January 4th 9:00-11:00 pm at the Marriott Marquis where the conference is being held. Since we are a non-profit educational organization, we are seeking your help to fund the event. There will be food, drinks, cocktails and mocktails! The goal for this reception is to bring us together in person and celebrate all that we have accomplished in the last 3.5 years, to provide an arena for everyone to collaborate on future endeavors, and to have fun. How much we raise will determine what amount of food, alcohol, and other refreshments we can supply. Any additional funds we raise beyond what we need to pay the hotel and caterers will be donated to Sportula, a wonderful organization that provides mini-grants for students in need. Thank you for your support!
