“Hope” for Sydney

Meet Hope the service dog.  She is in training now to help Sydney is my sweet 14 year old daughter, who is struggling with PTSD, anxiety, and depression.  We have paid half of the money to secure her dog  and need help with the balance.  Sydney was adopted her when she was five and by that time she had already had a failed adoption and a few foster care placements.  She has suffered every type of abuse and has gone through more in her young life than anyone should.  However, she is smart, funny, and trying so hard to overcome her sadness and anxiety.  Since May 2019, Sydney has had seven  admissions to our local pediatric mental health hospital, two failed partial hospital stays, over 8 rescue trips, and hasn’t been successfully home for even a solid week.  She is still currently inpatient making it about six months since she has been home due to safety concerns. She has such panic attacks that she has the “flight” of the fight or flight response,  making it unsafe for her to be home. She is in need of a psychiatric service dog (not an emotional support animal) that can assist in her panic attacks, making it so she is comfortable in public, and can get back to school where she should have been starting high school this year.  This young girl is an inspiration with her desire to heal but needs this animal in order to do so.  I know times are tight but every dollar counts.   Please share this post if you can.  We as her parents may be her center but she is our heartbeat.  Please if you are able, help our little survivor to a path for a normal life.   With love and thanks, the Keyser family ❤️
