Michelle Veliz is a 29-year-old graduate student, where she is pursuing a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has a passion for helping others, especially those who don't have adequate access to healthcare. Now, her friends and family are turning to the support of others to assist her with her most recent challenge.
In early February, Michelle was diagnosed with Invasive Mammary Carcinoma with Medullary Features, Preliminary Notthingham Grade 3, which is triple-negative in form (aka Breast Cancer). This aggressive form of cancer requires an equally aggressive course of treatment that includes a mastectomy, chemotherapy, and breast reconstruction. As a grad student, Michelle lives off of student loans to pay for schooling and school-related expenses. She has limited financial resources to pay for anything outside of school, including her treatment. The chemotherapy treatment lasts anywhere between 6-7 months, which is not only expensive, it also impedes her ability to continue her schooling and start her career. This is quite the hurdle to overcome, but Michelle and her family are optimistic that she will prevail.
Please, take the time to donate anything you can and help out Michelle and her family. She needs any support she can get right now, whether it's financial, emotional, or psychological. 100% of your donations will be used to pay for Michelle's treatment, including hospital visits/overnight stays, medications, surgerical procedure, and chemotherapy. Her friends and family thank you in advance for your generosity.
