Moving - Returning Home

Down to Gas Money / motel money to get Home

Well, I'm down to needing fuel and motel money to make the trip HOME.  I've got the rental money covered, and a little bit for setting up housekeeping.  Now it's a matter of just putting together the gas money.  (See below for how I break it down) I hope you will help with a donation!

Back to the Land of Oz

The signs and messages I've been getting the last month or so are urging me to make a big change.  I've been being a live-in caregiver for an elderly gentleman, and although 94-year-old Hilbert is a great guy, I feel I've done all I can for him and me in that situation. Additionally, I’d be homeless without this gig due to the sky-high rents in SoCal, that I just can’t afford.

After a long heart-to-heart with a good friend, I got the sudden flash to re-locate to the town of my birth:  Wellington, Kansas.  I spent the first few months of my life there, before the family moved elsewhere, but my mother's family lived in Wellington, so we were frequently making the trip from Northeast Kansas down  to see the Grandma and Granddad.

Now everyone in that scenario has passed on, except my siblings, but there is still a special place in my soul for the place of my incarnation, and it has become an inspiration to me to attempt this GoFundMe project.

Another major motivation is the cost of living, which is WAY different between Encinitas and Wellington.  A two-bedroom house in the San Diego Area averages over $4000 a month and rent for a studio apartment is usually more than $1500, so if it weren't for the care-giving gig, I would be homeless here.

Dig this:  I found three 2-bedroom houses in Wellington below $650--with big yards.  I spoke with the owner of the house pictured, and he's open to letting me rent the house over the phone.

Between my modest social security check, my online store (Pure Energy Rx), and writing jobs, I can comfortably  afford that.  So now, it's a matter of getting to Wellington, and setting up a home there.

All I own has been whittled down to one suitcase, so I'll be needing some things to set up housekeeping in the new place.   The main thing is a bed.  Other home items  I have are stored at my brother's in New Mexico, so I'll be stopping by his place to get that stuff on the way to Wellington.

Here's how I break it down for the GoFundMe funds:

RENT (600) -  1200 1st/last move in
UTIL. 1ST MO - 150
FUEL - 325 @ 15 mpg (1340 mi)
CAR SERVICED - 150
MOTEL - 4 nights @ $70 = 280
FOOD - 80
BED - 250
Housekeeping Items, Incidentals - 190
GoFundMe Fee - 75
TOTAL - 2700

I'm looking to embark Mid-November.  In the meantime, I'll be helping Hilbert replace me, and praying this can all work out!  I'll be posting updates as we go along, so let me know if you have any questions before donating.  An alternate way to help is to purchase something from Pure Energy Rx , the profits of which go to overall support.

This new adventure will be very healing for me, and put me in closer proximity to the rest of my family, most of whom live in Kansas.  Plus, I'll be able to re-connect with the land that attracted my incarnation, and who knows, maybe I'll meet The Wizard!
