Moving to College expenses

Hey, my name is Jah'miyah Young. I am the  Valedictorian at Shroder High School, a Cincinnati Public School. Over the past four years I worked diligently to obtain a 4.8 GPA. I am so very proud of myself for everything I have accomplished thus far. 

Attending and graduating college has always been one of my top goals in life. My dream career is to be a Surgeon. I am excited about my future endeavors.  I knew that I would have to work extremely hard in high school so that I would be offered grants and scholarships to help offset the cost of college. I knew that my mother would not be able to support me financially with college. I am the second oldest of 4 children. Being raised in a single parent household was not the easiest but nevertheless I have always been grateful for all of the opportunities that are provided to me to help better my future. 

One of my favorite opportunities of high school was in the summer of 2021, I attend a summer course at the University of Cincinnati named BmE. In the BmE program I trained in the field of animal sensory biology and robotics. I was very intrigued with this course and it only made me more ambitious and anxious to become a becoming a Medical Doctor. I was the only minority student who participated in the program. That made me very proud but it also helped me realize how the minority is not represented how they should be. It made me want to be a doctor to minorities. It made want to be apart of closing the health gap. 

I am eager to start this new journey in my life. I am ready to change trajectory of my life and also the lives of my younger siblings. I am ready to check off and accomplish the many goals I have set for myself. I am asking for monetary donations to help with college expenses. 

All monies donated will help support me with purchasing things that are not included in my scholarship. My gratitude is sent for any contribution that you are able to provide. Thank you.
