Moving across the country seeking a better life!

Hello, my name is Michelle and I am looking into moving out of New York City to Mesa, Arizona in the next two months as of November, 8th, 2020.  My goal for moving to Arizona is to seek out a better environment for both mental and physical health. I have struggled with both depression and anxiety since I've graduated college back in 2014. Since then I have let go of many dreams, such as trying to become an animator which was something I've always wanted to do as a child. Finding employment here in NYC has been extremely difficult and has affected my depression greatly.  

For the past six years, I've lived with both my older siblings and my mother who unconditionally supports me financially while in exchange I would watch my nephews and work on improving my art to make any bit of funding from it. We are five people living in a small two bedroom apartment in a building that is infested with mice, rats, bed bugs, and roaches. There are also many problems with the apartment, such as broken pipes or the gas not working, and all this does is add a dent to our pockets in trying to fix these problems along side with the bills that needs to be paid. 

Being unable to help with these necessities or being unable to fund myself has also affect my depression as well. I've recently been given the opportunity to move across the country to move in with a close friend and start over to make things better. Due to covid-19 and having two parrots, I don't want to fly. While my friend has the funds already saved to help me out there, I do not want to come with nothing in my pocket. This money that will hopefully be raised will go to making sure my birds are fed, that I am fed, and to keep me going while I look for a job.

I'm only asking for anything that could keep me going for a little be longer before I find a job. Anything is appreciated no matter how much and it would mean a lot for the support given to help make this change happen! ❤
