DONATE a little to help them READ!
Mountain teachers are asking for your help to purchase a home and school-wide reading support program called Learning Ally, www.learningally.org.
Learning Ally is an online library that presents books with highlighted text while students read along to a story that is narrated (by a real person NOT a computer voice). It enables students who need a boost in reading to independently access high quality, high interest books while improving their decoding, fluency, accuracy, comprehension and spelling skills!

Learning Ally is a non-profit organization known for helping students with learning challenges, dyslexia or visual impairments, but with a school license Mountain School will be able to provide it to any student who would benefit! Hearing rich literature read aloud with expression, while reading along (silently or aloud) is an excellent practice for all developing readers, regardless of ability or need.
We are excited to enhance our aligned Lucy Calkins literacy program by providing reinforcement and enrichment through Learning Ally. We believe this will help Mountain students make significant gains in reading growth for the next school year and beyond.
Please join us on our mission to finance a two year Learning Ally school membership. If we raise the money right away Learning Ally will be available to Mountain students over the summer break!
