MOTOSPIRIT
MotoSpirit está compuesto por un grupo de doce estudiantes de ingeniería de diferentes modalidades de la UPC (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya) de Terrassa (ESEIAAT) que formamos un equipo de competición para participar en la VI edición de MotoStudent. Disponemos de la ayuda y colaboración de la universidad a través del programa INSPIRE3 y de empresas privadas como patrocinadores.
MotoSpirit cuenta con varios años de experiencia participando en la competición MotoStudent, concretamente ha participado en tres ediciones.
Los estudiantes que forman el equipo son Francesc González, Eric Guil, Héctor Gardó, Oscar Navajas, Marc Pardo, Mateo Cristino, Joel Sánchez, Sergi Parramon, Gerard de la Rosa, Guillem Soler, Eduard Vicente y Moises Baena.
Actualmente, debido a la situación que estamos viviendo estos últimos días, desde el equipo de MotoSpirit hemos optado por ayudar en la medida de lo posible al personal sanitario, poniendo a disposición nuestras impresoras 3D para imprimir material de soporte médico.

MotoSpirit is a group of twelve engineering students from the UPC (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya) of Terrassa (ESEIAAT) who are setting up a team to take part in the VI edition of MotoStudent. We rely on all the support and collaboration from the university through the INSPIRE3 program, as well as from private companies as sponsors.
MotoSpirit has several years of experience participating in the MotoStudent competition as it has taken part in for three consecutive editions.
The students who conform the team are Francesc González, Eric Guil, Héctor Gardó, Oscar Navajas, Marc Pardo, Mateo Cristino, Joel Sánchez, Sergi Parramon, Gerard de la Rosa, Guillem Soler, Eduard Vicente and Moises Baena.
Currently, due to the situation we are living these last days, the Motospirit team has decided to help as much as possible the healthcare personnel, making available our 3D printers to manufacture medical material.
MOTOSTUDENT
MotoStudent es una competición universitaria a nivel mundial, promovido por MEF (Moto Engineering Foundation), que tiene como objetivo desarrollar, construir y testear el prototipo de una motocicleta de competición. En ella, ingenieros de las diferentes facultades del mundo compiten elaborando un proyecto de ingeniería que será evaluado desde el punto de vista industrial (coste, diseño, innovación), técnico (seguridad, funcionalidad, performance) y competitivo (carrera en circuito).
Existen dos categorías:
o MotoStudent Petrol (motor de combustión interna)
o MotoStudent Electric (Sistema de propulsión 100% eléctrico)
Esta última categoría será donde MotoSpirit participará, apostando por las nuevas tecnologías y la energía eléctrica.
La VI edición de MotoStudent finaliza en Octubre de 2020, donde más de 40 equipos de 15 nacionalidades diferentes se verán las caras durante un fin de semana en el circuito de Motorland Aragón.

Motostudent is a world-class university competition, promoted by the MEF (Moto Engineering Foundation), which aims to develop, build and test the prototype of a racing motorcycle. Engineers from all over the world compete by drawing up an engineering project that will be evaluated both from the industrial (cost, design, innovation), technical (safety, functionality, performance) and competitive (race in circuit) point of view.
There are two different categories:
MotoStudent Petrol (internal combustion engine)
MotoStudent Electric (powered by a 100% electric motor)
This last category is the one where Motospirit will be participating, betting on new technologies and electric power.
The VI edition of Motostudent ends in October 2020, where more than 40 teams from 15 different nationalities will face each other during a weekend at the Motorland Aragon circuit.
OBJECTIVES
El objetivo personal y la principal razón por la que todos los integrantes de este equipo hemos decidido embarcarnos en esta aventura es para poder aprender al máximo de esta magnífica experiencia y formarnos como ingenieros de un futuro próximo. queremos crear un prototipo innovador y rompedor, asimismo, queremos probar nuevos conceptos dentro del mundo del motociclismo.
Por otro lado, el objetivo principal del equipo es posicionar la UPC Terrassa (ESEIAAT) como una escuela innovadora y referente en el mundo del motociclismo a nivel universitario, presentado un proyecto destacable y rompedor sobre el resto de participantes de la VI edición. Es por eso, que nuestros objetivos están establecidos y claros, queremos ganar la Carrera Final de la competición MotoStudent 2020.

On the one hand, our personal goal and the main reason why all the members of this team have decided to embark on this adventure is to be able to learn the most from this magnificent experience and to develop us as engineers in the near future. We want to create an innovative and groundbreaking prototype, as well as to test new concepts within the world of motorcycling.
On the other hand, the main objective of our team is to place the UPC Terrassa (ESEIAAT) as an innovative and reference school in the world of motorcycling at a university level, presenting a remarkable and groundbreaking project over all other participants of the VI edition. This is why our goals are set and clear, we want to win the Final Race of the MotoStudent 2020 competition.
OUR PROJECT
Actualmente, estamos desarrollando un nuevo prototipo de motocicleta eléctrica y prácticamente hemos cerrado la fase de diseño. De este modo, ahora nos disponemos a empezar la fase de fabricación y pruebas.
Es el momento en el que podremos materializar el esfuerzo y trabajo que hemos realizado durante los últimos 18 meses y hacer realidad nuestro sueño. Es por esta razón, que necesitamos ahora más que nunca el apoyo del mayor número de personas posible para poder llevar el diseño al circuito de carreras.

Currently, we are working on developing a new electric motorcycle prototype and we have nearly closed the design phase. Therefore, we are now preparing to dive right into the manufacturing and testing phases.
This is the stage when we will be able to materialize all the effort and work we have been putting in over the last 18 months to make our dream come true. This is the reason why, now more than ever, we need the support of as many people as possible to be able to carry it out to the tack.
WHY CROWDFUNDING?
Somos una asociación universitaria sin ánimo de lucro formada únicamente por estudiantes. No disponemos de un capital que nos pueda financiar nuestro proyecto, con lo cual la única fuente de financiación es mediante concursos públicos para adquirir subvenciones.
Actualmente nuestros patrocinadores colaboran proporcionando materiales y servicio de soporte técnico. Sin la ayuda que nos aportan nuestros colaboradores, este proyecto no sería actualmente una realidad.
Por este motivo hemos decidido lanzar una campaña de recaudación de fondos con Gofundme, porque con vuestra ayuda nuestra meta será posible.
Con esta campaña queremos conseguir la financiación necesaria para desarrollar una parte muy importante del proyecto, así como aumentar nuestra visibilidad y de este modo expandir nuestra red de colaboradores y seguidores del proyecto.
Los fondos solicitados en esta plataforma son de 10.000€, y aunque podría parecer una cantidad elevada, representa una parte del presupuesto total del proyecto.
Con esta ayuda nos permitirà fabricar un chasis único y a medida en aluminio para nuestra motocicleta, parte esencial del proyecto. Además, también nos permitirà comprar gran parte del material eléctrico necesario para conseguir que nuestro prototipo pueda correr en Motorland. Finalmente, también debemos tener en cuenta que nos ayudará con los gastos de logística del equipo y nos permitirá poder hacer ensayos y pruebas de la motocicleta antes del gran momento de la carrera.

We are a university non-profit association formed only by students. We do not have enough capital to fund our project. Therefore, the only source of funding is through public contributions to acquire subsidies.
Nowadays, our sponsors are helping us providing the technical support and the material we require. Without all their support, this project could not be what it is.
For this reason, we have decided to launch a fundraising campaign with Gofundme, because only with your help our goal will be achieved.
By, launching this crowdfunding campaign we want to obtain the necessary funding to develop a very important part of the project, as well as increase our visibility and thus expand our network of collaborators and followers of the project.
The funds requested on this platform are 10,000€, and although it might seem a large amount, it represents a part of the whole project budget.
With your help we will be able to manufacture a unique and custom-made aluminium chassis for our motorcycle, an essential part of the project. In addition, it will also allow us to buy much of the electrical equipment needed to get our prototype to run on Motorland. Finally, we must also bear in mind that it will help us with the equipment logistics costs and allow us to test and test the motorcycle before the big moment of the race.
