Motorcycle crash fund for Joe Emery

For A Guy Who Would Give You the Shirt Off His Own Back

Mr. Joe Emery, a dear friend to many, was hit on his motorcycle while traveling south near 46th and Peoria on August 15th 2017. A one ton dually truck attempted to turn left through a line of cars in order to enter a parking lot. Unfortunately, Joe and his bike were in the right lane at a stand-still, which was directly in its path. The vehicle struck the front end of the bike sending it roughly 20 feet down the road and left Joe under the truck. Thankfully a group of by standers and nearby business employees were in close range and immediately came to assist. He suffered a broken rib, over a dozen stitches to his face, a fractured kneecap, a few partially torn ligaments, and one fully torn ligament in his knee. He was also stripped of his manly beard due to the lacerations needing stitches on his face. If you know Joe, this was detrimental to him. Women of the world are happy, but dear Joe is broken hearted. Back to all seriousness, because of the fully torn ligament in his knee he will undergo surgery on September 6th 2017. Unfortunately, he does not qualify for short term disability and the doctors have told him he will have a minimum of four months off of work. Joe will need a little help in order to alleviate the burden of missing so much work. Anything donated would be greatly appreciated and will go directly to helping with medical bills and living costs. Thank you so much for your time, concern, and generosity. Joe truly is the kind of guy that would give anyone the shirt of his own back to help them in any way.
