Mother Udder Farm Lost in CA fire

Donation protected
Hello everyone -- my name is Ryan McMurray, and I am a full-time college student and freelance writer/editor living in Sacramento. I am raising money for some friends of mine in Concow, CA -- wonderful people who were affected by the Camp Fire, which started just a few days ago.

Jessie Olson and Craig Wilcox, along with their three children adopted from the foster care system started Mother Udder Farm with the hope of living sustainably, employing permaculture techniques, and growing/bartering for their own food. Jessie and Craig (aka Mom and Dad) also wanted to provide for the future of their children.

On November 8th, 2018, the Camp Fire swept mercilessly through their town. They had no choice but to flee, taking their dogs and cats. Luckily, the family made it to safety in Yuba City, CA. However, their home was lost in the fire. Most of their livestock did survive, and are now being temporarily housed. The family is currently displaced from their home with no definite answer as to when they will be able to return, and they need your help.

These folks have shown nothing but kindness, compassion and hospitality to their community -- both in Concow, and in their previous home in Chico, CA. Now, in their hour of need, please take the time to return their kindness. Funding is needed as soon as possible, in order to pay for costs associated with being displaced: lodging, food, clothing, and most importantly, repairs to their family SUV, which took a beating driving through the fire line. Additionally, Jessie is a 100% disabled US Army veteran, and has medical expenses to meet.

The goal for this campaign has been set at $10,000 -- but every little bit helps. More information about Mother Udder Farm can be found at: https://motherudderfarm.blog/
